Get ready to explore the summer carnivals around the globe. From the streets of Toronto to the scenic views of St. Lucia, each carnival on our list is chosen for its rich display of cultural significance, accessibility, family-friendliness, and of course, the abundance of authentic Caribbean food.

Join us as we dive into a world where community, culture, and spectacle meet. Some carnival programs are shared below but for detailed parade dates, concert lineups, and event schedules, be sure to visit each carnival’s official page.

St. Lucia Carnival

From July 1 – 23, 2025: The St. Lucia Carnival is set to showcase the “Electrifying Vibes of Lucian Carnival,” emphasizing the integration of local music styles such as Dennery Segment into the carnival’s mainstream events. The 2025 edition is a standout with its dynamic schedule (available below) and focus on celebrating the rich musical heritage of St. Lucia.

Antigua Carnival

From July 25 – August 5, 2025: This year, the festival will showcase a broader array of events (available below) enhancing its appeal to a global audience and providing a more diverse musical experience.

Barbados Crop Over Festival

From July 5 – August 5, 2025: The Grand Kadooment Day, set for August 4th, serves as the climax of the season’s festivities. What sets this year apart is the emphasis on cultural preservation and showcasing local craftsmanship. This focus not only honors the tradition of masquerading but also aligns with the festival’s goal to sustain and evolve these cultural expressions for future generations, thereby maintaining Crop Over‘s status as a crucial pillar of Barbados’s cultural heritage.

Rotterdam Summer Carnival (Netherlands)

From July 25 – 26, 2025: This year’s edition features a special focus on inclusivity and cultural diversity, with over 2,500 dancers and participants representing a multitude of backgrounds and nationalities.

Toronto Caribbean Carnival (Canada)

From July 31 – August 4, 2025: The Toronto Caribbean Carnival aims to showcase a diverse array of music, dance, and culinary delights, which are central to the carnival experience. This includes a variety of events (program available below).

Grenada Spicemas

From August 1 – 12, 2025: Dive into the spice of life at Grenada’s Spicemas, where traditional Jab Jab and the sounds of soca and calypso bring the island to life. What Patrice said? ‘Is Mas”, expect Traditional Mas, Monday Nite Mas and Fancy Mas! (scroll below to see all the fetes). 

Notting Hill Carnival (London, UK)

From August 24 – 25, 2025: This year, a special emphasis is placed on children’s participation and family-friendly events, encapsulated in the theme “New Beginnings.” So bring the kids and enjoy the festivities; check out the schedule below. 

West Indian American Day Carnival (New York, USA)

From August 28, 2025 – September 1, 2025: ​The West Indian Day Parade, is not only a vibrant celebration of Caribbean culture through music and dance but also a culinary journey showcasing the rich and diverse flavors of the Caribbean.
