Following the parade, the excitement continues as bands perform on the main stage, showcasing their themes through costume, color, and movement. A panel of carnival experts from around the world judges the bands in various categories, vying for the prestigious title "Band of the Year" and a substantial cash prize.
Over 18,000 masqueraders in more than twenty mas bands. Each band presentig a unique theme with vibrant costumes adorned with beads and feathers, and the event culminates in a concert after the bands are judged.
The concert segment on Carnival Sunday showcases international Caribbean talent, featuring well-known soca acts and live bands. Previous performers include Patrice Roberts, Skinny Fabulous, Machel Montano, and many others, creating a high-energy atmosphere with diverse musical performances.
At the Carnival Village, over fifty food vendors offer a wide selection of Caribbean culinary delights, including dishes from the Bahamas, Jamaica, Haiti, Trinidad & Tobago, and more. Visitors can also enjoy a variety of Caribbean rums, beers, and beverages, making it a perfect place to satisfy cravings for jerk, curry, or stew dishes.
