The 2026 Cape Town Carnival returns under the vibrant theme “Follow Your HeART,” celebrating creativity, culture, and community spirit in the Mother City. Carnival Villages open from 15:00 (3PM) with food stalls, family-friendly activities, and live entertainment warming up the atmosphere. The Opening Ceremony begins around 18:00 (6PM), followed by the main parade kicking off approximately 18:45–19:00 (6:45–7PM) as dazzling floats and over a thousand performers take over Somerset Road. The celebration continues well into the night with music, DJs, and electric street-party energy along the Fan Walk.
